WHSmith North America is seeking a Retail Transformation Program Manager to lead a fast‑paced program, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. This hands‑on role requires a detail‑oriented leader who can drive governance and reporting across multiple workstreams.

You will partner with senior leaders to plan and track initiatives spanning merchandising, supply chain, operations, and IT, manage risks, and keep executives updated with clear progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • PMO/Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project/program management experience.
  • Proven track record of managing fast-paced, high-impact transformation or change programs.
  • Experience in retail, supply chain, or consumer-facing industries is highly desirable.
  • Strong program management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work on-site and manage up to 20% domestic travel.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and outcome-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consistency, transparency, and accountability across all program workstreams.
  • Partner with senior leadership and workstream leads to plan, track, and deliver initiatives across merchandising, supply chain, operations, and IT.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and issues; proactively manage escalations and course‑correct as needed.
  • Ensure alignment between program goals and business stakeholders.
  • Drive effective communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to maintain momentum.
  • Monitor KPIs, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Translate complex program information into clear updates for executives and teams.
