Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Team Member to interact with customers and team members, supporting selling initiatives and performing tasks while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending products, and handling cash. You may assist with merchandising, freight, price changes, and loading purchases, while ensuring safety and a clean shopping environment for customers and birds where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience required. Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.
• Preferred Knowledge, Skills Or Abilities: Strong communication and problem-solving skills; Basic computer skills; Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are highly valued in this role.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and uncover needs; recommend product solutions; deliver Legendary Customer Service.
• Operate cash register/computer and handle cash following procedures.
• Assist with merchandising, price changes, and plan-o-grams; stock and recover merchandise.
• Perform janitorial duties and help with loading purchases; participate in freight process.
• Ensure a Legendary shopping experience; maintain poultry holding tanks and care for birds as required.
• Complete all required documentation for duties as assigned.
