Job summary

Swedish Match (PMI U.S.) is seeking a Retail Team Manager to lead sales and execution within an assigned territory in the United States. This player-coach role blends team leadership with direct account management, driving retail sales, distribution, merchandising, and promotional execution.

You will coach a team of sales representatives, manage retail accounts, analyze market data, and implement growth strategies while ensuring effective routing and reporting across the territory.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in retail sales, wholesale grocery, route sales, or related fields.
• Strong leadership, coaching, planning, organizational and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and analytical abilities.
• Fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve regional objectives.
• Manage retail and wholesale accounts and execute strategic plans.
• Drive product distribution, merchandising, promotions, and freshness standards.

This player-coach role combines team leadership with direct account management, driving retail sales, distribution, merchandising, promotional execution, and customer growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve regional business objectives.
• Manage assigned retail and wholesale accounts while executing strategic business plans.
• Drive product distribution, merchandising excellence, promotional execution, and product freshness standards.
• Analyze market, sales, and customer data to identify growth opportunities and develop action plans.
• Ensure effective routing, call coverage, and execution across the territory.
• Monitor business performance, communicate goals, and implement corrective strategies when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development and Strategic/Key Account Managers.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and development planning for team members.
• Maintain accurate reporting of retail and account metrics.
• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

Compensation

Annual base salary: $90,000 - $120,000
