Job summary

Family Dollar in Arnaudville, LA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, bending, and manual tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and maintain customer service excellence.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain fixtures and displays, and handle promotional areas.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and train Store Associates.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
