Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and administrative duties. The role requires knowledge of multiple product areas, adherence to policies, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

You will assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence, assist with sales, restocking, merchandising, and scheduling, and participate in recruiting, training, and evaluating staff.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Experience in retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to assist in managing a team and achieving goals and profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain inventory movement and customer trend reporting to Store Manager.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service per the customer service manual.
