Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking an experienced store supervisor to lead daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional customer service. You will oversee staffing, training, and scheduling while driving sales and maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities include guiding team members, enforcing safety, handling disciplinary actions, and ensuring product presentation. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to Meijer’s friendly service culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Ability to communicate directions clearly to the team.
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities with staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team to meet service and sales goals.
• Maintain store appearance, product presentation and standards.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
• Promote a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Responsible for P&L, sales achievement and shrink control for the department.
• Document disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Spend majority of time in-store engaging with customers and staff.
