Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort is seeking a Sport Shop Supervisor to lead the Dodge Ridge Sport Shop team in Pinecrest, CA. You will supervise staff, ensure guest satisfaction, manage cash handling, training, and inventory, and maintain secure operations within budget.
Responsibilities include staffing, payroll, merchandising, opening/closing, and enforcing safety and labor standards while staying current with ski/snowboard industry trends.

The Sport Shop Supervisor directly supervises the operations of the Dodge Ridge Sport Shop. The position is responsible for ensuring a high-quality experience for our guests which is well-organized, efficient, and staffed with a well-trained and guest-friendly team. This position must maintain secure cash handling practices, and staff training guidelines and adhere to the department budget. This position is responsible for the administrative aspects of the Sport Shop. This position is a KEY member of the Dodge Ridge Team.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road surfaces.
At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Work is typically outside working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members. It can be noisy, cold, wet, or humid. You may be expected to work in high places and frequently you will work around moving objects.
A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.
The skiing/riding employee represents a model for safe skiing for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
