Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Livonia, MI to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and leadership skills, retail-store experience, and the ability to manage day-to-day tasks with a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefront effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash, and follow safety policies.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a safe, positive, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Clean and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
