Job summary

Safeway, part of Albertsons Companies Inc., seeks a Retail Sales and Store Support team member in Alaska to keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You’ll help customers locate products, answer questions, and maintain a welcoming environment across store areas.

You will stock shelves, rotate products, update signage, and maintain backroom organization. The role involves inventory, cross-department collaboration, and a fast-paced atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (18 depending on role requirements).
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and box cutters following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop; help customers locate items and answer questions.
• Maintain displays and ensure products are available; stock shelves and rotate products.
• Update pricing or signage and maintain backroom organization.
• Handle inventory and assist with restocking across departments.
