Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Clinton, IA is hiring a Retail Store Processor to handle donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet daily production goals.

This part-time position offers paid training, ongoing coaching from store leadership, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills while contributing to community programs. You will sort, tag, price merchandise, track production, assist with loading, and maintain clean spaces as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.

• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments.

Job description

Location: Clinton, Iowa Pay: $12.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 20 to 29 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
