Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Columbus, OH seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager with daily operations and customer service excellence. The role covers merchandising, restocking, scheduling and supervision in the store during the Manager’s absence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Self-starter with initiative on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and daily operations.
• Work with Store Manager to plan selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Serve as acting Store Manager in the Manager’s absence.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities are completed.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and trends.
• Ensure exceptional customer service per the service manual.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals.
