Job summary

Cash America Pawn in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Store Manager Trainee with at least six months of store management experience. You will lead daily operations, develop staff, recruit talent, and drive customer satisfaction alongside the Store Manager.

The role offers an hourly wage of $16.50–$24.00, plus commission based on productivity and a performance bonus. Benefits include health coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and wage-advance options.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of Store Management experience.
• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to work a flexible retail schedule (including weekends/holidays).
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store and manage cash drawers and assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control and procedures.
• Administer store processes including inventory, loans, merchandising, and reporting.
• Analyze store financial statements and drive profitability.
• Ensure operating standards meet FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity.
• Communicate with employees to align with mission and profit objectives.
