Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead associates, assist customers, and drive store sales. You will oversee operations, train staff, and safeguard assets to maintain profitable store performance.

The role requires excellent communication, the ability to build relationships with the team and community, and adherence to laws and company policies. You will execute directions from corporate headquarters and ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Ability to focus on results and build strong relationships with team members.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs (55 lbs occasionally).
• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of business operations to maximize sales and profitability.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Lead, train, and develop store associates to foster a culture of growth.
• Provide every customer with a positive and enjoyable shopping experience.

• Build strong relationships with the community by actively engaging in outreach and partnerships.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from our corporate headquarters.
