Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in North Charleston, SC to lead all store operations, including staffing, merchandising, ordering, receiving and customer service. You will drive performance by overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and daily execution of company policies.

This role requires building a safe, welcoming environment, controlling inventory and expenses, and delivering strong sales while maintaining compliance and brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to laws and company policies.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels employees.
• Monitors staffing levels and ensures store is properly staffed.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify sales, profitability and inventory trends.
• Maintains cash handling accuracy and store security practices.
• Opens and closes the store as required and maintains a safe shopping environment.
• Manages inventory and ordering to meet in-stock targets.
