Qualifications

• Experience managing store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking and presentation.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Strong recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination know-how.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and company policies.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, performance evaluations, and counseling as needed, up to termination.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance, conduct, and safety expectations; lead meetings to reinforce policies.
• Open/close the store regularly and maintain proper staffing levels.
• Monitor operating statements for sales, profitability, and shrink; manage expenses.
• Oversee inventory, ordering plans, and stock replenishment; ensure accurate merchandising.
