JC Licht is seeking a Management Trainee for its Evanston location. The role focuses on overseeing store operations, HR processes, customer service, inventory control, and sales support within a fast-growing paint, hardware, and decorating retailer.

The position involves lifting and light physical duties as part of daily tasks. The successful candidate will have a two- to four-year college degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and at least two years of retail experience,

Qualifications

• Effective financial planning and management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years retail experience, preferably industry related.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and hire store team members.
• Develop training for product knowledge and customer service.
• Maintain inventory and merchandising standards; manage stock and displays.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Support account development and outside sales when needed.
