Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Chadron, Nebraska is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily operations. You will become knowledgeable across departments and help with selling, restocking, merchandising and scheduling while promoting excellent customer service.

You will gain supervisory experience, especially in the absence of the Store Manager, and contribute to the store’s goals and profitability through accurate inventory and customer-focused leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support a store team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising and scheduling.
• Take responsibility in the Store Manager's absence and supervise staff.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Ensure inventory awareness, sales statistics and profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department standards and keep the manager informed.
• Maintain exceptional customer service and assist during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
