Description
Retail Store Manager oversees the operations of a retail location, managing staff, inventory, finances, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has retail management experience and a passion for the tobacco industry.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, select, and retain top talent.
- Motivate, coach, develop, lead, and train employees continuously.
- Develop team product knowledge to become experts.
- Enhance team selling skills to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance of retail employees.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement productivity improvements.
- Set clear performance expectations and train staff in sales, customer service, and operations.
- Communicate priorities and sales information effectively.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment following health and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory levels and product ordering.
- Gain product knowledge and stay informed on product launches and promotions.
- Build customer relationships to suggest products.
- Achieve or surpass sales and operational goals.
- Oversee daily store operations including inventory, cash handling, staffing, and customer service.
- Assist customers with transactions and service.
- Develop plans to maximize sales and performance.
- Partner with District Manager to address performance issues.
- Stay updated on company policies and initiatives.
- Implement programs to improve sales, service, and branding.
- Spend most business hours on the sales floor coaching and managing.
- Analyze sales and financial data for strategic decisions.
- Create marketing strategies to increase traffic and sales.
- Monitor industry trends and competition, advising management accordingly.
- Work over 40 hours weekly, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- At least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of management experience
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts at times

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
