Kilwins Chocolates Franchise, Inc. in the Venice/Sarasota, FL area is seeking an experienced, hands-on Retail Store Manager to lead a Company Store team and deliver hospitality, quality, and handcrafted products guests know and love.

The Store Manager will own the store's operations, including customer experience, staffing, training, sales, budgets, P&L, inventory, confection production, food safety, and financial performance, while guiding the team from the sales floor.

NOW HIRING: RETAIL STORE MANAGER

Location: Venice/Sarasota, FL area

Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried/Exempt

Salary: starting at $75,000 annually, plus manager bonus program eligibility

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Store Manager owns the team and full operation of the store, including the customer experience, staffing, training, sales, labor, inventory, confection production, food safety, and financial performance.

This is an active leadership role. You’ll lead from the sales floor, work alongside the team, and step in wherever attention is needed.

What You’ll Do

• Recruit, schedule, train, coach, and develop a dependable, customer‑focused team.
• Lead from the sales floor, model exceptional hospitality, and resolve customer concerns.
• Manage sales, labor, budgets, P&L results, cash controls, inventory, ordering, merchandising, equipment, and reporting.
• Set goals, monitor performance, and use business results to improve store operations.
• Oversee confection production, product availability, quality, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Build community relationships that support recruiting, store visibility, and sales.
• Become certified in all store zones and required production processes, then train and coach the team in those areas.

THE SWEET TRUTH & HURDLES

This onsite role requires availability based on business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and seasonal peaks.

Occasional Company‑related Travel May Be Required.

You must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, bend and reach frequently, work near food‑production and refrigeration equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

ServSafe Manager certification is required. If you do not already hold it, Kilwins will pay for you to obtain it within the required timeframe.
