Cash America Pawn is seeking a Retail Store Management Trainee in Washington for a 90-day training program designed to develop future store managers. You will work under a Store Manager and District Manager, coaching staff, recruiting talent, and driving store profitability while learning inventory and loan processes.

The role emphasizes customer service, leadership, and adherence to company policies, with opportunities for advancement to Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager after training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 18 years of age (WA: minimum 21)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
• Previous people management experience - minimum 1 year
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Strong desire to work, serve customers and work with people; team oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Cash handling experience required
• High energy sales personality with knowledge of jewelry and general merchandise
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Ability to become certified to work with firearms, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Provides leadership by directing daily operations, talent management, training, team building and oversight of employee development
• Recruits top talent, sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels
• Opens and closes store, including cash drawers and merchandise handling
• Ensures asset protection through inventory control and securing customer loans
• Manages store processes: inventory, loans, merchandising, store systems, deposits and FSC reporting
• Receives, evaluates, lifts, and moves merchandise as part of pawn, buy, and retail transactions
• Evaluates store financial statements and drives profitability
• Ensures operating standards meet FirstCash standards
• Monitors loan qualification and buy processes for value and integrity
• Completes assigned tasks and training for self-development
• Communicates store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees
• Maintains up-to-date product knowledge
• Partners with HR to administer progressive discipline
• Performs other duties as assigned
