The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in St. Joseph, MO to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, supervise staff, drive sales, and ensure safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Retail leadership or management experience preferred.
• Customer service, merchandising, sales, or store operations experience preferred.
• Cash handling, banking, and inventory management experience preferred.
• Strong English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff training, coaching, and scheduling to support daily operations.
• Provide leadership during daily store activities and ensure policy adherence.
• Support employee development and foster a positive team culture.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and operational planning to meet goals.
• Maintain inventory flow and support loss prevention efforts.
