The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in St. Joseph, MO. This leadership role supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, staff supervision, and customer experience.

You will help drive sales, ensure safety and order, and uphold the organization’s mission while contributing to community programs. The position requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Retail leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to train and develop staff.
• Experience with cash handling and inventory management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training, coaching, and supervising store staff.
• Provide leadership during daily operations.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and operational planning.
