Job summary

Vans is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead a team of Brand Advocates to deliver exceptional customer experiences and collaborate with the Store Manager to drive profitability and store performance.

You will recruit, train, and develop staff, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure smooth store operations while upholding brand values in a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or store leadership experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Brand Advocates to deliver best-in-class customer experience reflecting our brand values.
• Lead and coach the team to exceed individual and store productivity goals.
• Model exceptional customer service and selling behaviors to inspire the team and create authentic brand experiences.
• Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, floor coverage, and task delegation.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding with high-caliber talent.
• Provide ongoing training, feedback, and development to team members.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Partner with the Store Manager to manage expenses, shrink, and drive profitability.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product replenishment aligns with brand directives.
• Foster accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement; promote a diverse, inclusive environment.
