Job summary

Hibbett Cambridge, MD is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily operations, sales, and customer service. You will learn product knowledge across departments and assist with merchandising, scheduling, and administrative tasks to drive store goals.

As a trainee, you will supervise staff in the Store Manager's absence, promote promotions, and strive to deliver outstanding customer experiences that build long-term loyalty to Hibbett I City Gear.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Produce and deliver extraordinary customer service per the customer service manual and promotions.
