Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. seeks a Manager in Training in Liberal, Kansas to support store operations under the Store Manager. You will promote sales, assist with restocking, merchandising, and scheduling while upholding company policies and delivering outstanding customer service to build long-term loyalty.

The role requires knowledge of product areas, strong communication, and the ability to step in as acting manager when needed. This is an on-site, hourly position with non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Set action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Take store ownership in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Guide employees and customers across departments with knowledge and service.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to ensure store profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department standards and responsibilities.
• Maintain awareness of inventory movement and customer trends.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service per policies and manuals.
