Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in McComb, Mississippi is seeking a Manager in Training in our Operations department. This role supports the Store Manager, learns all store areas, promotes promotions, and helps deliver outstanding customer service.

You will assume supervisory duties in the Store Manager’s absence and assist with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling while upholding company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred, footwear and athletic apparel a plus.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet store goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and day-to-day operations.
• Plan with the Store Manager to cover selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Step in and assume store responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments as needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to help profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
• Maintain inventory movement updates and respond to customer trends.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote company services and merchandise.
• Uphold all company policies and internal control procedures.
