Columbia Sportswear Company in Bloomington, IN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead Sales Associates and Supervisors, coach product knowledge, and drive sales with a focus on customer service and profitability.

You will support the Store Manager, hire and onboard staff, and develop a positive, inclusive team culture while ensuring operational standards and excellent shopper experiences across our brand family.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a retail leadership role.
• Experience driving consumer engagement and selling skills.
• Ability to guide, coach and develop team members.
• Strong communication and problem solving in a store environment.
• Knowledge of POS systems and retail software tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to supervisors and associates on daily operations.
• Creates an engaging shopping experience and ensures product knowledge across teams.
• Performs training and coaching on selling skills to influence purchases.
• Supports interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new staff as needed.
• Helps develop action plans to improve sales, safety and productivity.
• Creates weekly schedules and helps meet labor and operating targets.
