Job summary

DTLR, Inc. in Illinois is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, driving sales, managing expenses and inventory, and delivering outstanding customer service.

You will train and develop the store team, recruit and evaluate personnel, and ensure compliance with company policies while maintaining a 40-hour work week and flexibility for days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of one (1) year in retail management.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, multi-task and set priorities.
• Willing to travel to multiple stores within the assigned district.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store staff performance and ensure quality.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Lead and train store personnel.
• Assist recruitment and training of store personnel.
• Provide feedback on annual performance evaluations.
• Assist with expense management to meet the budget.
• Monitor loss prevention and shrink to meet company plan.
• Support customer service standards and create a friendly environment.
• Conduct regular merchandise inventory counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• 40-hour work week; schedule may include days, nights, weekends, holidays.
