Job summary

D&B Supply LLC in Kuna, Idaho is seeking a Store Manager Assistant to support the store manager in daily retail operations. The role emphasizes sales, customer service, inventory management, budgeting, planning and leadership to achieve store goals.

You will assist with hiring, staff development, merchandising, and evaluating performance while ensuring safe, efficient store operations and ongoing training for product knowledge and system usage.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of retail sales experience.
• Proven working knowledge of inventory control, merchandising and customer service.
• Ability to effectively communicate information, policies, and procedures to customers and employees.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• This position requires sale of firearms and candidates must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with the highest level of service and set a standard for staff to emulate.
• Assist in preparing labor schedules to meet store goals through planning and organization of staff.
• Promote and monitor service quality by leading by example.
• Assist in hiring team members for all store positions and maintain appropriate staff levels.
• Assist in conducting and/or writing performance evaluations and set yearly goals for staff.
• Discipline employees as needed in line with company policies.
• Maintain training standards for product knowledge and system accuracy.
• Ensure safe working conditions and promptly address safety concerns.
• Open and close the store and secure all assets.
• Inspire employees to contribute to store productivity.
• Lead monthly store meetings covering scheduling, sales goals, safety, and product information.
• Collaborate with manager and merchandiser to implement department merchandising plans.
• Maintain building equipment and report malfunctions.
• Act as store manager when the primary manager is absent.
• Other duties as assigned by store manager or executive team.
