Job summary

Dollar Tree in Rathdrum, Idaho is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and guide front-line associates to meet company standards.

Duties include opening and closing procedures, merchandise organization, loss prevention, and maintaining clean, well-stocked fixtures. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and delivering friendly, efficient service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and general neatness.
• Other duties as assigned*.
