Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to train and evaluate staff and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is staffed.
• Provides training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; counsels as needed.
• Manage pay rate and advancement recommendations for staff.
• Communicates performance and safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events.
• Open/close the store with appropriate staffing; ensure daily opening/closing.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends and control opportunities.
• Oversee inventory planning, BSR, and cycle counts to meet targets.
• Ensure proper product presentation and pricing; use fixtures correctly.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; manage damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Uphold cashier accountability and store security practices.
