Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Merrillville, IN to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help organize merchandise flow from delivery to floor, perform opening/closing duties, and ensure promotional displays stay effective.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug stores, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling records.
