Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Summit is seeking capable individuals to support store operations as part of our Summersville store team. You will assist the Store Manager in daily leadership, sales goals, and budget achievement while ensuring excellent customer service and proper store procedures.

The role requires knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and staff supervision, with attention to safety and loss prevention. Beginning wage is set, benefits are offered, and some travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and previous retail sales and/or management experience preferred.
• Must have ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have valid driver's license with safe driving history.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store or ensure designated staff do so in the store manager's absence.
• Prepare daily and weekly sales reports, deposits, and related paperwork.
• Assist the store manager with merchandise ordering and pricing.
• Keep shelves and sales floor stocked and properly priced.
• Communicate daily priorities to the store manager.
• Train and supervise store personnel in the manager's absence.
• Maintain a safe, clean store environment and report issues.
• Handle customer complaints in a fair and impartial manner.
• Record purchases and give receipts and correct change.
