Job summary

SpartanNash in Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Store Director to support the Store Director and help manage all departments, staff, and store profitability. Based at 3960 Turkeyfoot Rd, Independence, KY, you will ensure staffing, training, safety, and customer service.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years retail grocery experience, supervisory background, and strong budgeting, financial analysis, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
• 3+ years in retail grocery with increasing responsibility.
• 1+ year supervisory/lead experience in retail.
• Proficient with computers (email, spreadsheets).
• Accounting and budgeting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspections of all areas, provide feedback to department managers.
• Review reports, take action and communicate information as needed.
• Engage in financial planning including budgeting, staffing/payroll, facility maintenance.
• Communicate and work with SpartanNash personnel.
• Train others to perform department activities and functions.
• Manage selection, scheduling, and supervision of others.
• Greet customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
• Maintain clean, attractive and customer-friendly department.
• Know products, prices, preparation, use, differences.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
