Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead a Dollar General store in the United States. You will supervise staff, oversee ordering, stocking, merchandising, and cashier operations while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with company policies.

You will manage opening/closing duties, staffing levels, safety protocols, and daily financial controls, driving sales and profitability in a fast-paced retail setting. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Experience in retail management and staff supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all employees in planning and implementing store processes.
• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees in compliance with laws.
• Provide training, evaluate performance, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Ensure staffing, opening/closing procedures, and safety compliance.
• Monitor sales, inventory, and expenses to identify trends and opportunities.
• Oversee ordering, stock replenishment, and merchandising presentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and cash controls.
• Lead customer service excellence and store cleanliness.
• Ensure protocols and SOPs are followed and paperwork completed.
