Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, supervise associates, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff alike.

The position reports to the Store Manager and requires dependable teamwork, strong communication, and a proactive approach to loss prevention and payroll tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas and fixtures to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing store associates.
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
