Job summary

Rocket stores in Cotati, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a full-time role with benefits. You will support the Store Manager in daily store operations and ensure a safe, customer-focused environment.

You will also stand in for the Store Manager when absent and help customers with their purchases while maintaining a positive attitude. The role requires 2–4 years of supervisory experience in retail, weekend and irregular shift availability, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead in retail.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Be physically able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Be able to work irregular shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Work mostly indoors with some outdoor work.
• Ability to stand or walk for at least 8 hours.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes.
• Occasionally climb a ladder to store and retrieve materials.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and customer-focused environment at all times.
• Take on Store Manager duties in their absence.
