Job summary

Rocket Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in a full-time role that supports the Store Manager in all store operations and maintains a safe, customer-focused environment.

You will step in for the Store Manager when not present, assist customers with purchases, develop customer connections, and sustain a positive attitude with the team.

This position requires 2–4 years of supervisory retail experience, 18+ years old, and the ability to work weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of supervisor or team-lead experience in retail.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Be physically able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Be able to work irregular shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Stand and/or walk for at least 8 hours.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds overhead for up to 30 minutes.
• Occasionally climb a ladder to store and retrieve materials.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Maintain a safe and customer-focused environment at all times.
• Act as the Store Manager in their absence and perform Store Manager duties.
• Assist customers in the purchase of products and services.
• Develop customer connections and provide excellent service.
• Maintain a positive attitude with all team members and customers.
