Job summary

ALDI USA in New Milford, Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support supervising daily store activities, drive performance, manage schedules and develop action plans for improved operations. The role focuses on developing the team, maintaining store standards and ensuring high-quality customer service through effective leadership and communication.

This is a full-time role with a starting wage of $27.00/hour and a wage increase to $28.00/hour in Year 2, plus comprehensive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and develop team.
• Ability to operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising day-to-day store activities.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Identify training opportunities for direct reports.
• Model ALDI core values and store strategy.
• Monitor community competition and adjust as needed.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly information and milestones.
• Maintain inventory procedures and cash controls.
• Resolve customer concerns in leader's absence.
• Identify hazards and maintain equipment and store safety.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage.
• Assist with stock levels and product ordering.
• Merchandise products to maximize sales.
• Ensure product quality and signage accuracy.
• Assist with payroll, loss prevention, and training.
• Supervise day-to-day team operations.
