Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Owings Mills, MD. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, and help implement company directives while maintaining clean, well-stocked floors.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and hands-on leadership to train store associates and ensure a safe, friendly shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing store associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional customer interactions.
