Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Owings Mills, MD. You will join the Store Manager to lead a team of associates and focus on merchandising and processing freight, ensuring a clean, organized sales floor and compliant operations.

You will assist with store functions, open/close procedures, safeguard assets, and maintain high-energy, customer-friendly interactions while upholding company standards and directives. This role is full-time.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and teammates.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with items.
