Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-first store. Under the Store Manager's direction, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, and handle deposits and paperwork.

You will open and close the store several days a week, schedule and train team members, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure cash control and safety standards while protecting assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise receipt, stocking, displays and planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash control procedures.
• Assist with refunds, overrides and bank deposits.
• Assist in store management in Store Manager's absence.
