Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Irving, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, supervise associates, ensure safety and policy compliance, and maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards. Part-time role with opportunities for growth and hands-on leadership experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
