Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Georgetown, TX to help lead store operations, supervise staff, and ensure customer-first service. The role supports the Store Manager with merchandising, deposits, and loss prevention while driving profitability and asset protection.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, staff scheduling, training, planograms, inventory control, and accurate cashiering. High school diploma and some supervisory retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a retail environment.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow company work processes to manage merchandise, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms; ensure merchandise is presented per Store Manager direction.
• Assist in ensuring financial integrity of the store through cashier accountability, cash control procedures; authorize refunds and deposits.
• Assist with management of the store in the Store Manager's absence.
