Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead a store to a profitable business plan, surpassing key metrics, and delivering a best-in-class customer experience. You will bridge brand vision with in-store execution across Customer Operations, Merchandising, Product Operations, and talent development.

You will coach the team, drive profitable sales through forecasting, manage the store budget, and ensure SOPs are followed while creating an inclusive environment and engaging with the community.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of retail experience leading others.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.
• Ability to travel as required, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes results, identifies opportunities and makes decisions with the leadership team to drive KPIs.
• Drive profitable sales through forecasting and scheduling.
• Manages store budget for daily operations in support of the P&L.
• Builds productive teams through sourcing, selecting and developing people.
• Coaches and provides feedback to improve team performance.
• Teaches and trains to build capabilities.
• Leads the implementation and execution of SOPs and initiatives.
• Creates an inclusive environment.
• Implements plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Performs Service Leader duties.
• Represents the brand and understands the competition.
• Promotes community involvement.
• Leverages OMNI to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensures all compliance standards are met.
