Job summary

Store - ST.L-CHESTERFIELD, MO

Responsibilities
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct location.
  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, break rooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete the task.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
Other Duties As Assigned May Include
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.
Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Must have a reasonable accommodation if needed for essential functions.
  • Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
Work Environment
  • Public retail store setting with climate controlled customer areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
  • Occasional outdoor work retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
