Store Environment Team Member – Temple, PA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they’re looking for.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return products to correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high traffic areas.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat; notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model.

Other Duties as Assigned

• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards program and private label credit cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with omnichannel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or equipment.
• Work may include nights, weekends, early mornings.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting; climate controlled unless in stock rooms.
• Some outdoor work may be required.
• Usage of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.
