Job summary

Panda Restaurant Group is seeking a Project Manager (Construction) to oversee new store builds across bidding, construction and closeout phases. This role coordinates architecture/engineering, permitting, entitlement, and site selection to ensure turnover on schedule and within budget.

The candidate will reside in SC, NC, VA, or GA or be willing to relocate, with regular travel to sites and head office collaboration with Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preference in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum five years of construction project management experience, preferably in retail/hospitality.
• Valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual store opening plan and deliver quality stores on time and cost-effectively.
• Oversee construction quality management and ensure Panda standards.
• Support cross-functional site research including due diligence, studies, floor plans and site plans.
• Ensure store construction meets codes, AHJ requirements, landlord requirements, and Panda standards.
• Manage bidding, awarding and contract issuance for General Contractors within territory.
• Monitor project schedule, regulatory approvals, and project costs; ensure safety standards and codes.
• Regularly report project progress to stakeholders and verify scope aligns with plans.
• Coordinate with Operations to turn over new stores as scheduled and inform stakeholders of changes.
