Job summary

The Michaels in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a store associate to maintain a clean, safe shopping environment. You will perform cleaning tasks, stock shelves, assist customers, and support store operations including checkouts and BOPIS/SFS processes.

Qualifications include ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items; experience in retail or cleaning is preferred. This role includes overtime eligibility and a base hourly pay range of $13.75–$15.90.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms and breakrooms.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards programs and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes (BOPIS and SFS) and stocking/planogram duties.
