Retail Store Associate

We are excited to announce the opening of a new Wild Fork store in Pacific Beach! As a Wild Fork Team Member, you will deliver a memorable experience to all of our guests. You will be trained to be a personal chef and friendly butcher, gaining the highest level of product knowledge to provide customers with recommendations on their favorite dish or protein. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring proper inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability, replenish low‑stock items, pick and pack online orders, and deliver a friendly checkout experience.

Compensation: $20 an hour plus a monthly bonus based on performance.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

• Be a brand ambassador – enthusiastic and passionate about our quality products, educating customers on what WFF stands for.
• Become a product and culinary expert by giving total effort during training to provide great recipes and cooking tips.
• Provide a butcher‑friendly shopping experience by personalizing every step of the way.
• Assist customers during checkout and deliver an unforgettable experience.
• Perform stocking duties such as lifting up to 50lb, rotating products, ordering, dusting, and cleaning the store.
• Oversee daily price changes and manage the cash register as needed.
• Process customer e‑commerce orders and oversee timely product hand‑out for deliveries.
• Must work in an extremely cold environment—pulling racks, processing shipments, and performing monthly inventory in the walk‑in freezer.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Physically able to exert up to 50lb of force.
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures – walk‑in freezers.
• Stand/walk for up to 8–10hours.
• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and products.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred, not required.
• One year of customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or restaurant – required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, by showing interest and carefully listening to their needs – required.
